Rochedale SHS has a well-established and highly credentialed arts education program. Excellence and extension are the hallmarks of APEX where students have access to enrichment through their chosen strand – Art, Dance, Drama and Music. Through rigorous endeavour and current arts practices, students are inspired to reach their potential.
Achievement in Apex
APEX has very successful and diverse links with industry professionals such as Backbone Theatre, Shake & Stir, Flying Arts Alliance and JMC. All students have access to workshops and performances throughout the year conducted by companies such as Shakefest, Beenleigh Eisteddfod, Fanfare and Artwaves. Students are also given the opportunity to participate in Creative Generation, school musicals and arts nights. Since 2015, our biannual musical has been held as a arena spectacular with over 150 students in the production with audiences of over 1500 throughout the season.
