Curriculum
In the senior school, a broad range of authority (OP) subjects is offered in mathematics, the sciences, information and communication technology, the social sciences, business education, languages, the arts and health education. These academic subjects are complemented by non-authority (non-OP) offerings in the areas of engineering, construction, hospitality, early childhood, sport studies, business and the arts.
The year 8-10 curriculum is built around the eight Key Learning Areas (the KLAs) with students moving towards increasing levels of specialisation through the junior school. Program design provides students with a well rounded and broad education with the opportunity for specialisation in areas of interest through elective study programs.
Distinctive programs
Our school has development programs in the areas of science, technology (including information technology and multimedia, agriculture and marine and aquatic practices), the arts, volleyball and touch.
The integration of technology into the teaching and learning process is a key feature of science and mathematics programs at the school with over 1100 students having access to over 900 laptops. Languages other than English taught at the school include Chinese (Mandarin) and French.
Academic profile
Our school has a strong academic history. This strong academic profile is a result of quality programs, quality teaching and strategic resource allocation.
