Rochedale State High School has a homestay family base with caring people who have been involved with our school for many years.
Each family is personally visited and inspected by school personnel, and all members of the household over the age of 18 must hold a current Blue Card in accordance with the Commission for Children and Young People and Child Guardian (CCYPGG).
In addition, families are regularly visited and/ or contacted to ensure that they are skilled in dealing with international students.
Homestay facilities provide a separate room for each student, 3 meals per day and assist in transport to and from school where appropriate.
Students from overseas are encouraged to become part of our families and learn about Australian life.
