For all district events and trials, students will be notified by the school of the opportunity to apply via the school website, school notices and emails. It is the responsibility of students to follow up the application process outlined below:
District Sport Trial Nomination Process
To nominate for a District Trial, students at Rochedale State High School must follow the process outlined below.
Important: Students wishing to nominate for District or Regional trials are expected to demonstrate a high level of experience, skill, and performance in their chosen sport. These trials are highly competitive and are intended for students performing at an advanced level.
Steps:
- Event calendar posted on school website. Students.
- Trial notification will be advertised to students via school SOBs notices and students will receive an email.
- Interested students must see the Sports Coordinator, Carla Bonato, in R Block.
- The Sports Coordinator will provide students with a hard copy permission form to attend trials.
- Students must attend the trial WITH the hard copy permission form. Note: Digital permission forms are not accepted for district nominations.
- Trial information will be advertised through Daily Student Notices.
- Students must attend R Block and register their details with the Sports Coordinator, Carla Bonato.
- Collect the required forms: Trial Information Sheet, Standard District Nomination Form, and Player History / Additional Nomination Form from sports coordinator Miss Bonato.
- Return all completed forms to sports coordinator by the due date or as soon as possible for submission.
Please Note: The school will complete the Principal Consent based on the registration details provided. It is essential that students ensure all information is accurate when registering.
Students will be advised of team selections at the trial. Successful students will receive further information regarding progression to regional level trials.
Regional (Metropolitan East) Trial Nominations – Individual Applications
Where a District Trial is not held, students may apply directly for regional trials by following the steps below:
Important: Students nominating for regional trials must be competing at a high standard within their sport, with the skills and experience required to perform at a representative level.
- Trial information will be advertised through Daily Student Notices.
- Collect the required forms: Trial Information Sheet and Nomination Form, Standard District Nomination Form, and Player History / Additional Nomination Form (if required).
- Submit all completed forms to R Block by the due date, or email scanned copies to sport@rochedaleshs.eq.edu.au.
- Students invited to trial will receive an email confirmation from the sports coordinator, Miss Bonato.
