Rochedale State High School is an active member of the South District Secondary School Sport Association and proudly participates in regular interschool sporting competitions throughout the year.
Students in Years 7 and 8 compete on Tuesday afternoons, while Years 9 and 10 take part on Wednesday afternoons. Students in Years 11 and 12 have the opportunity to represent the school in Senior School Gala Days held across Term 1 and Term 3.
Our teams compete against a range of local schools within the south district, providing students with consistent opportunities to develop their skills, build teamwork, and represent Rochedale with pride. Successful teams may progress to Metropolitan competitions, where they compete against leading schools across South-East Queensland.
Rochedale SHS continues to build a strong and inclusive sporting culture, with student participation and success across a variety of sports including soccer, basketball, volleyball and touch football.
For students who choose not to participate in interschool sport, a range of alternative recreational activities are available, including fitness-based sessions, social sport and wellbeing-focused programs, ensuring all students remain active and engaged.
